  • ○ Eligibility for applying: Anyone interested in Korea and ASEAN

  • 2. How to submit the works
  • ○ On-line submission through the ACH website
  • - Submit your photos or videos about the contents together with a brief essay
  • - Online submission at www.contest.ach.or.kr
  • ○ Format
  • Photography Resolution of 1200x1600 or higher
    Maximum file size: 30MB
    Format: JPG
    Edited photos or photo collages are ineligible
    400~1000 bytes of essay about the work is necessary
    Video 30 to 60 seconds video
    Taken and Edited by the participant
    • < Things to keep in mind when submitting your work >
    • There is no limit to the number of photosand videos applicants may submit. When submitting more than one work, please submit them separately.
    • There should be no legal issues related to the work, including but not limited to portrait rights or intellectual property rights.
    • Works that violate another person’s intellectual property rights should not be submitted (printed materials or screenshots of blog photos).
    • Photos and videos that do not satisfythe required format, works that have already been awarded in other competitions, copied or pirated works, or works that violate another person’s intellectual property rights shall be excluded from review. In the case such works are awarded a prize and the fact of such violation or offense is discovered at a later date, the award will be annulled and the award plaque and prize shall be retrieved.
    • The original copy should be submitted when receiving an award. Arrangements for this should be made by the artist accordingly.
    • Participants must own the copyrights to the photos and videos they submit, and the copyrights willremain with the ownershould the workbe awarded.
    • Contest winners shall give to the ASEAN Culture House the exclusive rights to use the awarded artworks for ACH programs (production, copy, distribution, etc.).

  • * The types of souvenirs for winners of the Outstanding Photo Award will be decided at a later point in time.

  • 4. Thingsto keep in mind
    1. This contest, with the theme “ASEAN in Korea, Korea in ASEAN,” seeks to promote awareness of Korea and ASEAN countries through photos that capture relevant cultural elements.
    2. Submitted works will not be returned.
    3. Each applicant may submit multiple photos and videos. If multiple photosby the same artist are selected as winners, a maximum of 2 workswill be awarded a prize.
    4. Photos that do not adhere to the required size or format will be excluded from the contest.
    5. Participants must ownthe copyrights to the photos and videos they submit. Any issues regarding copyrights or intellectual property rights that may occur before or after the photois submitted shall be the responsibility of participants.
    6. If a cause for annulment is discovered after a participants was selected as winner, the selection may be annulled.
    7. All submitted photos and videosmay be used for the exhibition or catalog.
    8. Participants may be asked to re-submit a photowith a higher resolution.
    9. The detailed timeline of the competition is subject to change. Such changes shall be notified onthe official website.
    10. Depending on the number of submissions or review results, theawards type and or number may change.
